With the second largest art collection in Australia and with a renovated building made of glass walls and concrete, we were responsible to illuminate the internal art gallery, facade and landscape.
Our approach was to create a low level lighting environment internally with the main focus on the art work. The lighting level on the art work were adjusted according to the art specialist consultant.
Luminaires with wide beam distribution were installed on the top of the internal walls to illuminate the ceiling and consequently "wash “the art gallery halls with soft light.
The facade lighting scheme rely mainly with the internal glow from inside the building, apart of the concrete side walls where inground uplights were recessed to capture the rough texture of the stone wall.
Project was undertaken while Rodrigo was a lighting designer at WEBB Australia.
